Cheers to Independence Day!

July 05, 2015 thebeeswaggle

The 4th of July is a great reminder of the freedoms we have because people organized, came together, and honorable soldiers fought for them, and continue to do so.  Thank you.

The 4th is a reminder that organizing for a common goal can accomplish big things. My hope is that    bee communities around the country and world can continue to organize to make positive changes that stick on behalf of our pollinators, and, in effect, on our own behalf as well. After all, we do need them to enjoy all the wonderful foods we tend to take for granted.

Today, July 5th, marks the completion of the Toepfer Park project, and I believe this is just the beginning of many more community projects geared toward raising awareness for pollinators.  I have seen the changes starting this business has made in the people in my life. Friends and family tell me they are noticing more bees, and making changes because of what they have learned through The Bees Waggle, and that gives me satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment.  This venture began with the simplicity of writing a blog about bees, and is growing into much more, at a pace I never would have predicted!

Remember that every individual act matters, and will translate into a larger sum of positive change that will reach beyond the borders originally predicted. Don’t hesitate because you don’t have the “credentials”. If you have the passion to make a difference, and a vision to make change, everything else will fall into place!

Thank you all for joining the movement; we truly appreciate your support, both near and far!
