Reaping the rewards of gardening efforts!

I know I have mentioned this before, but I absolutely love spending time in my backyard admiring my garden.  Every year I have added more to it, and each addition brings more visitors for me to watch! I have seen many species bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, along with many other interesting characters. I have a hard time resisting the temptation to plant more…I guess you could accuse me of having compulsive planting disorder, but I wouldn’t be offended! I can hear my grass pleading with me to keep it, but I am running out of space for flowering plants…

Beauty astounds me! The huge leaves in the foreground are rhubarb leaves! More rhubarb in the foreground, which began from the huge one seeding! My tomato plants have entered the tree zone, but we are finally getting blooms...maybe fried green tomatoes will be of interest this year? Cherry tomato flower has its pollen deep inside the center piece of the bloom. This is a challenge that only the bumbles of bees are up to! Here are those infamous Colorado native wildflowers still going strong with a rainbow of colors. IMG_1413 IMG_1414 Bumbles love these pink beauties! Verbena branches tower above the ground offering a tasty treat to passers-by! My raspberry bushes were plated two summers ago and look at them now! We will have raspberries again this year! Red clover was planted from seed this year, and are feeding countless bees! IMG_1425 IMG_1429
